Great piece! It's funny, I am editing an upcoming Pops on Hops episode on an album called (and by) Crash Kings, and we discussed the use of these cards by Brian Eno as a songwriting prompt. So, to read an essay that includes references to both Brian Eno and the deck of cards made me take pause... or, dare I say, slow down.
One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Oblique Strategies! Good stuff! https://www.omnibusproject.com/194
Oooh, which one was it? ;)
Not my own, surprisingly! 😂

I see what you did there.
Speaking of cards, do you either of you know how to play euchre? I am guessing not.
I do not.
It is a card game with roots in the midwest. Sometimes folks in Florida learn it from the snowbirds. I was just curious.
The deck is limited to 9s through aces, and it's best played while intoxicated and listening to rock and roll at high volumes.
Somehow I knew you would comment on this one...
