My friend Leisure McCorkle had not only hooked me up with a good gig and a fun night in Charlotte, he steered me right in the laundry department too. When I mentioned that I would need to wash a load of clothes when I got into Asheville, Lee had just the place; Dutch Girl Laundry.
It had been a very long time since I’d been back in a laundromat. I had lived more than once without laundry services in house and never took it for granted. I fumbled my way through the directions to manage properly pouring in one serving of soap from my vending machine dispensed bottle of Gain into the industrial washer.
Once I had the load of clothes frothing away, I walked down the street to the Asheville Sandwich company to grab an early lunch. I people watched and took in the unique flavors of West Asheville while awaited my Cheesesteak. The bag was surprisingly heavy as I carried it back to Dutch Girl.
