The poll that I recently posted on the greatest film in the Spielberg canon sparked a great deal of a discussion and a ton of questions. You’ve all clearly got myriad feelings on the subject, and so do I for that matter. So, let’s have a good old fashioned tournament, and pick the favorite Spielberg film for the WAIM community.
With a bit of research and some objective appraisal, I have seeded the 32 films presented here from top to bottom. These seeds take into account my own personal tastes as well as your comments on the original, and any number of lists to be found in cyberspace on the issue.
This is it. The finals. I think we all knew it would come down to this matchup in the end. After 30 head to head matchups, 32 teams, and a flurry of comments, opinions, and emotions, we have settled on the final pair.
Which set of heroes will emerge victorious? Will Chief Brody and the crew of the Orca overtake Indy, Marian, Salah, and Marcus? Will you, dear reader, be able to choose from a pair of sentimental, old favorites?
For the final round, we are keeping the voting open for a full week. Polls will stay open until 6:00 am on Saturday, December 16. Vote early and often; make sure that your friends, enemies, colleagues, co-workers, and neighbors are voting as well.
Get to your polling stations!

Both are among the greatest films ever made. But I choose Jaws because it scares me for physical, emotional, and spiritual reasons—because I'm the Ahab in the audience watching three Ahabs hunting their White Whale, er, Great White Shark.
This is a tough one. Raiders is a great film, but it's primarily the nostalgia that drives my love for it. Jaws is top-notch film making and the better story. Jaws.
