What Is Your Favorite Song About Dad?

We're celebrating Father's Day this week at WAIM Radio. What is your favorite tune about Dad?

In the spring of 2012, I turned 40 years old. My Dad suggested that to celebrate this milestone birthday, we take a trip together. Steven and I traveled well together. We both shared a deep love of history and anthropology. Over the course of a few weeks, we discussed trips out west and to New England. I had even posited the idea of a weeklong road trip spent traveling to various Civil War sites and battlefields. As my birthday approached, the research continued.

Not only did my Dad and I travel together, but we worked together as well. It was our second foray into a father/son working relationship. This endeavor was much more successful than the first effort running a small print shop on the north side of Lansing. As he had entered his fifties, my Dad had begun to mellow and slow a bit in his demeanor. We had always gotten along well, but now our relationship seemed to be flourishing.
