As I finish my preparations for my west coast tour, I find myself California dreamin'. What tunes make you think of the Golden State?

If you have been paying attention much around here you know that I leave for my west coast tour in just a week. The journey will take me all the way to the Pacific and back over the course of nearly six weeks. For roughly fifteen days, I’ll be exploring California from tip to tail. On my lone visit to California, I only spent a long weekend around Palm Desert and Joshua Tree, so this will virtually all be new territory to me.

To celebrate my fortnight in the Golden State I’ve collected an hour of tunes all about California for the next edition of WAIM Radio. This episode spans as many genres as any show we have done so far, and the sonic qualities could have been even wilder if we’d taken that tack.
