Where is my CNN profile? No one comes to my shows and asks me how I am feeling about my economic anxieties. Do I need to start playing in diners?
One of my greatest regrets is not finishing a Bachelor’s Degree. I was a bright kid, but I hated school and the grade baiting games that went along with it. I was a student who struggled to stay focused, due at least in part, to a rampant but undiagnosed case of ADHD. My high school career lacked any discipline or work ethic whatsoever.
After I graduated high school, for nearly three years, I floundered at the local community college waffling between the theatre and quasi-film programs respectively. I was an academic failure, and eventually I tumbled out into the job market.
Despite not possessing a degree, I was able to carve out a fairly nice living for myself. I floated from job to job throughout my twenties, working at a video store, and doing time at the family print shop. Eventually, my old man offered me a sales associate position in his office and I began my career.
