An Artistic Life That Looks Like Madness
I am well aware of how insane my life must appear to the average observer. Some days, it even seems nuts to me. Still, I don't know how to do it any other way.
When I left for the western leg of my solo tour last Fall I began the slate of shows at the Harmony Bar in Madison, Wisconsin. I pulled up to the venue to begin the first of two dozen load-ins on the trip. I had hefted in a few loads of gear when I got a text alert on my phone. I opened the home screen to find a message from my dear friend, Todd Stonehouse. His brief text was one of the kindest messages that I have ever received.
